Karra has been part of the jewellery and watch trade since 2004, working for independent family run businesses through to luxury retailers on Bond Street. Qualifying as a gemmologist and diamond grader with the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A) and National Association of Jewellers (NAJ), Karra has a passion for education and continued development. She is an accredited tutor for Gem-A teaching their world renowned Gemmology and Diamond Diplomas, which are essential requirements for new JVA valuing applicants. She is a proud founder Fellow of the Jewellery Valuers Association, being part of its inception in 2020.

Early 2017 saw the inception of her own valuation company, Crystal Clear Valuations Ltd., which sees her travelling all across the South-East undertaking insurance, probate, family division and divorce related valuations as well as identification reports on jewellery, watches and silverware.

Karra offers a home visit service to private clients, ensuring a personable and professional service from your living room, or alternatively she can visit your solicitors, bank or office. She also partners with a number of retailer jewellers and accepts postal valuations to her secure PO Box address.

Karra is also a council member of the Academy of Valuers, which is a learned society for the study and advancement of jewellery and watch valuers, organising talks, lectures and practical workshops designed to continue the development of valuers and trainee valuers in the UK.
